Pipal Limited was established in Kenya in 1993 as a project finance advisor. Since then Pipal Limited has rapidly grown into a diversified consulting firm specialized in project development, finance and management, as well as leadership, effective teams and strategic change.

We work with successful companies to develop and extend their businesses and scope, as well as with under-performing companies and institutions to improve their viability. We identify and resolve their financing requirements and improving their management capability. We network and collaborate with other consultancy companies, both local and international, where specialist technical input is required. The company develops private sector led infrastructure projects in East Africa as well as takes a special interest in managing lines of credit for renewable energy sources.

Pipal Limited is working extensively with DEG, European Union ( EU), World Bank, IFC, Africa Project Development Facility (APDF), DEG, and many East African Banks and Financial Institutions, in particular in relation to private sector, corporate and infrastructure finance.

Pipal is increasingly deeply involved in the renewable energy sector in East Africa. They manage the DEG Jatropha Supoprt Programme linked on the front page, an extensive commercial research programme stretching across 2000 km of East Africa. They have been deeply invovled in the Kenyan National BIofuels policy development and in designing and sourcing funding for new projects in renewable energy.
