15th - 17th March Sue Canney Davison presents at World Biofuels Market Amsterdam

Under the Biofuels and Developing Nations theme, Sue Canney Davison gave two presentations. The first covered the exemplary multiple stakeholder participatory Kenayn Biofuel Policy development process. The second illustrated the www.degjsp.com programme and shared some of Fritjof Boerstler's (DED) preliminary results work with the UNDP GEF Biofuels Clusters Small Grants Programme at the Kenyan Coast. While many look at biofuels replacing a percentage of fossil transport fuel, Sue came away from Amsterdam convinced that urgently replacing wood fuel biomass in rural household cooking, is one of Africa's greatest rural health, economic growth and environmental sustainability challenges.
